Information management professionals are particularly sensitive to the issue of digital presence, which they should not see as limited to problems related to security or protection. Considered as a new dimension of information, this is an informational presence that generates new behavior and brings us face to face with social and political issues having an impact on the organization of both knowledge and our collective relationships.

ZusammenfassungInformation und digitale Präsenz sind mittlerweile voneinander abhängend: Es gibt nicht mehr auf der einen Seite eine stabile Identität und auf der anderen Seite Informationen in Bewegung. Die digitale Präsenz bestimmt jetzt den Wert der Information in einer digitalen Umgebung, sie selbst dazu beiträgt, die Identität zu (re-)konstruieren.

ResumenDe ahora en adelante, información y presencia numérica son independientes: ya no va la identidad estable por un lado y por el otro las informaciones que circulan. Es la presencia numérica la que ahora determina el valor de la información en un entorno numérico que contribuye en sí mismo a (re)construir la identidad.
