Résumé
In 1865 the Viscount Janzé bequeathed his rich classical art collection to the Bibliothèque nationale de France. From it, the remarkable quality of a terracotta bust of a woman has been revealed through recent conservation. Material and historic study allow a better understanding of its rich polychromy and of the circumstances of its production, typical of Hellenistic Sicily, and especially of the 3rd cent. bc workshops of Centuripe.
