Un des moyens pour lutter contre la pauvreté et l’exclusion qui touchent près d’un million d’enfants en France est d’analyser, pour mieux les comprendre, leurs trajectoires familiales, scolaires et sociales. On ne peut toutefois s’en tenir à un ensemble de constats, il s’agit d’en dégager de véritables démarches de prévention primaire et précoce qui passent par la conception d’une école organisée sur l’appropriation personnelle et active des connaissances, interdépendante d’un autre statut social, et qui dépasse aussi les conceptions traditionnelles et individualisantes de l’échec scolaire.

One of the means how to fight against the poverty and the exclusion which touch nearly a million children in France is to analyze, in order to understand them better, their family, school and social trajectories. We cannot however stick to all of the statements, we have to release some true steps of primary and early prevention which pass by the conception of school organised on the personal appropriation and active knowledge, interdependent of another social status and which also exceeds the traditional conceptions individualising the school failure.
