While Europe is experiencing a form of deconsolidation of the rule of law, the Venice Commission allows the identification of fundamental principles and values, particularly the rule of law. Therefore, a review of the relations between the Venice Commission and the European Union deserves the full attention of the doctrine, since the Commission has become a real support for the European Union in matters of evaluation and protection of the rule of law.

Dans un contexte dans lequel l'Europe connaît une forme de déconsolidation de l’État de droit, la Commission de Venise permet l'identification des principes et valeurs fondamentaux et notamment l’État de droit. Dès lors, l'étude des relations entre la Commission de Venise et l'Union européenne mérite toute l'attention de la doctrine, puisque la Commission est devenue un véritable appui pour l'Union européenne en matière d'évaluation et de protection de l’État de droit.
