This paper analyzes the campaign of Alexander the Great in relation with its impact on the enslavement of populations as well as the practices that were put in place both for management and for sale of large numbers of slaves obtained because of, and thanks to, the Macedonian military actions. We estimated also the different typologies in relation to the spaces of obtaining slaves from the field army and the various examples provided by sources on Alexander in relation to the presence of captives and slaves in the Macedonian army.
