Abstract
This paper will deal with ways, in which Ioannes Dubravius (1486–1553) – one of the most important authors of Neo-Latin literature in the Czech lands, a diplomat and a Bishop of Olomouc – treated classical tradition. Dubravius was proficient across several Neo-Latin genres; he wrote excellent poetry, as his Theoriobulia illustrates, along with speeches, letters, religious treatises and extensive works of prose.
