Jean Lesquins, « De l’accession et de l’ouvrage dans le Code civil », Revue interdisciplinaire d'études juridiques, ID : 10670/1.537306...
Under the 1804 French Civil Code, « ownership of assets is acquired and transmitted by succession, by donation inter vivos or testamentary, and by the effect of obligations. » (article 711) ; « ownership is also acquired by accession or incorporation, and by prescription. » (article 712). This article links two of these modes of acquisition together : the right of accession and the effect of obligations (of the lease and hire of work in particular). This genealogical approach highlights contemporary issues and might help conceive some evolutions of the current employment, project, and corporate contracts.
