Annie Charron et al., « Family literacy questionnaire measuring parental exposure to books », La revue internationale de l’éducation familiale, ID : 10670/1.5bb1ab...
This paper underlines the French Quebec adaptation of Parent’s exposure to print survey, renamed Exposition parentale aux livres. We present theoretical foundations underlying the relevance of parental exposition to books as a measure of literacy practices in a familial context. We describe the survey’s development stages, which measures parental exposition to books, before portraying its piloting. Using descriptive and correlational analysis, we present and discuss the potential for using a measure of parental exposition to books in research. This descriptive paper will provide a systematic approach to elaborate surveys adapted to their own literary culture in their research community.
