Juan Gil de Zamora composed an encyclopedia called Historia Naturalis around 1300. Only a part of the work has been preserved, and it is possible that it was never completed during his life. Even in its incomplete form, the compilation is quite complex. The purpose of this article is to better situate the Historia naturalis in the broader context of Zamora's works through the study of the organizational logic he applied, in particular the cross-references through which he connected the different parts of the Historia naturalis as well as different works.
