En analysant le mythe fondateur de la société des îles du nord du Vanuatu, et en le comparant au mythe freudien du père de la horde, l’auteure tente d’éclairer la nature de ce qui est incorporé lors du repas cannibalique à travers la plante qu’est le kava, et pose les questions analytiques que cette mythologie suscite quant à l’incorporation primordiale du père chez Freud et chez Lacan.

Analysing the foundational myth of the Vanuatu’s Northern islands society and comparing it to the Freudian myth of the father of the horde, the author is trying to shed some light on the nature of what is incorporated during the cannibalistic meal with the usage of the kava plant. She poses the analytic questions raised by this mythology regarding the primordial incorporation of the father in Freud and in Lacan.

Analizando el mito fundador de la sociedad de las islas del norte del Vuanatu, y comparando al mito freudiano del padre de la horda, la autora trata de ilustrar la naturaleza de lo que está incorporada durante la comida canibaliza a partir de la planta: el kava. Esta planta plantea cuestiones analíticas que este mito suscita respecto a la incorporación primordial del padre por Freud y por Lacan.
