De notre expérience avec la procédure de la passe, un principe se distingue: les liens qui soutiennent une communauté analytique pouvant fonder un pari sur le dispositif de la passe ne se résument pas aux liens sociaux entre psychanalystes, mais ils impliquent l’inclusion réelle dans une procédure élaborée et mise en acte par des analystes prêts à recueillir les effets du collectif que la passe met chaque fois en œuvre. Ainsi, il est nécessaire de travailler la distinction entre « communauté analytique » et collectif et, de cette façon, affiner notre compréhension de l’articulation entre intension et extension dans le passage du privé au public ; car si ce qui configure la communauté exige une identification nécessaire pour soutenir le premier moment d’un pari, le collectif n’advient que comme effet réel du pari qui, dans un deuxième temps, inscrit et recueille le pas-tout de la transmission.

The pass in progress From our experience with the pass procedure, a principle comes forth : the links which sustain an analytical community ready to set stakes on the setup of the pass can not be reduced to the social links amongst psychoanalysts. Rather they imply a real inclusion in a procedure elaborated and enacted by analysts ready to reap the effects of the collective which the pass constantly sets in motion. It is therefore necessary to distinguish between « analytical community » and collective, and, in this way, refine our understanding of the articulation between intension and extension in the passage from private to public. For if what makes up the configuration of the community requires an identification necessary to sustain the first moment of a wager, the collective arises only as the real effect of the wager which, in a second time inscribes and gathers the « not-all » of transmission.
