À la fin d’une cure, le sujet se trouve départi de ses identifications. Celles-ci permettaient de faire avec le non-rapport sexuel. Avec l’identification au symptôme, le sujet peut faire autrement avec ce trou du non-rapport. Qu’en est-il alors de la sexuation ? La rectification subjective qui s’opère à la fin d’une analyse, modifiant le rapport du sujet au savoir, change l’interprétation des formules dites de la sexuation. La possibilité d’un troisième sexe se pose alors et, avec elle, celle d’un nouveau rapport aux deux jouissances.

At the end of an analysis, the subject has lost his identifications. They used to allow him to make do with the absence of sexual relations. With the identification to the symptom, the subject can manage this hole of the non-rapport in a different way. What then of sexuation? Subjective rectification which operates at the end of an analysis modifying the relationship of the subject to knowledge, changes the interpretation of what is called the formulas of sexuation. The possibility of a third sex is therefore put forward and with it the one of a new relationship to both jouissances.

Al final de una cura, el sujeto se ha separado de sus identificaciones. Estas le permitían seguir con la no-relación sexual. Con la identificación al síntoma, el sujeto puede hacerlo de otro modo con este agujero de la no-relación. ¿Qué pasa con la sexuación ? La rectificación subjetiva que opera al final de un análisis, modificando la relación del sujeto al saber, cambia la interpretación de las fórmulas de la sexuación. Entonces la posibilidad de un tercer sexo se plantea y, con ella, el de una nueva relación a los dos goces.
