For the first time the El Medano’s rock art style breaks its geographical borders thanks to the discovery of a new painting located at more than 250 km north from the concentration area of their pictorial expressions. Navigation and mobility are combined as arguments to discuss the new distribution of this rock art style using as inputs the motifs outlined in its representations and the direct evidence of boats remains from the Atacama Desert littoral.
