The first generation immigrant women who live in the popular suburbs are among the layers the hardest hit by social precarity. Some of them attempt to create work collectives, supported by multi-cultural women's associations. Who are these immigrants ? What resources do they mobilise ? Les femmes primo-migrantes qui vivent dans des banlieues populaires sont parmi les catégories les plus touchées par la précarisation sociale. Certaines d’entre elles tentent de créer des collectifs de travail, soutenus par des associations multiculturelles de femmes. Qui sont ces immigrées ? Quelles ressources mobilisent-elles ? Les associations sont des espaces où elles peuvent construire un devenir féminin autonome, solidaire et citoyen ; un espace intermédiaire entre la sphère privée et la sphère publique ; un espace où elles tentent de résister à la précarisation sociale sans échapper totalement à son étau puisque les emplois et les entreprises associatives restent précaires.
