Cet article vise à éclairer la nature de la pensée logique à partir du parcours du mathématicien Kurt Gödel (1906-1978), à l’origine du théorème d’incomplétude, et qui concevait par ailleurs un panthéon spiritualiste composé de démons et d’anges. Notre approche se voudra double : d’une part tenter de situer les impasses de la philosophie « mystérieuse » gödelienne, couplée à une logique d’universalité, au plus proche des fondations de l’esprit scientifique et de la paranoïa. D’autre part, nous tenterons à partir des papiers philosophiques inédits de Gödel de saisir, à la lumière de la théorie lacanienne, la position subjective structurelle de ce mathématicien, au travers de sa pensée créatrice (théories scientifiques et productions métaphysiques marginales). Nous postulerons que cette dernière aurait eu pour effet de faire sinthome « logique », lui permettant de tenir une énonciation de sujet parant à la décompensation (c’est-à-dire un dénouage des nœuds borroméens). Enfin, le risque d’imposture dû au détournement du concept d’incomplétude sera abordé.

Kurt Gödel and his demonological pantheon : toward another sinthomatic theoremThe purpose of the present paper is to shed some light on the nature of logical thinking from the path of the mathematician Kurt Gödel (1906-1978), who demonstrated the incompletud theorem, and conceived a spiritualist pantheon constituted of demons and angels. Our approach will be twofold : on the one hand we try to show off the impasses of the gödelian « mysterious » philosophy, coupled with logical universality, close of the foundations of the scientific mind as well as the paranoïa. On the other hand, we attempt from unpublished philosophical papers of Gödel, to size in the light of the lacanian theory, the subjective structural position of this mathematician, through his creative thinking (scientific theory and marginal metaphysical productions). We postulate that this last one could effect a « logical » sinthome, and permit him to keep a subjective enonciation sparing him decompensation (i. e. untangling borromean knotes). Finally, the risk of imposture due to misuse of the incompletud concept will be approached.
