La défense faite à Israël d’approcher le divin, thème récurrent de la Bible juive, semble imposer l’idée d’un invisible radical et sacré. En regard de cette lecture, le Midrash et surtout la Kabbale nous proposent une interprétation à la fois éthique et dynamique du rapport flottant entre le visible et l’invisible.

As a recurring theme in the Jewish Bible, the injunction for Israel not to come close to the divine seems to impose a notion of radical and sacred invisibility. Yet the Midrash and more particularly the Kabbalah offer an ethical and dynamic reading of the shifting relation between the visible and the invisible.

A proibição de se aproximar do divino, imposta ao povo de Israel, é um tema bíblico recorrente no qual perpassa uma conceção radical e sagrada da invisibilidade. Nesta perspetiva, o Midrash e principalmente a Cabala, oferecem-nos uma interpretação ao mesmo tempo ética e dinâmica da relação flutuante entre o visível e o invisível.
