Résumé
Grammatical negation in Moroccan Arabic riddles is realized by two strategies according to the type of context. In contexts of verbal predication, the discontinuous marker ma…ši is used, while in contexts of non-verbal predication, the continuous marker maši occurs. In some cases, negation can be expressed only by the morpheme ma. In this paper, we also discuss different elements of negation reinforcement. In the final section, the uses of the negative marker la will be discussed.
