Ayant rappelé que la pratique clinique suppose toujours d’éloigner les préconceptions du savoir pour s’ouvrir à l’inattendu de la vérité, cet article entend souligner que la clinique analytique comporte aussi des attendus. En particulier, l’auteur pointe qu’une écoute orientée par la psychopathologie psychanalytique débouche toujours sur les mêmes questions inconscientes, qui ne manquent dans aucun cas. On indique ainsi la tension qui travaille chaque cas de la clinique analytique, entre la part d’inattendu indépassable qu’il comporte, et la part d’attendus auxquels il répond, et qui fait que même au moment où on le rencontre pour la première fois, un cas singulier ne se présente pas tout à fait comme une nouveauté absolue surgissant dans un désert d’ignorance. Cela revient à problématiser rigoureusement le point nodal où les attendus de la théorie rencontrent l’inattendu de la clinique.

Recalling that the clinical practice always presupposes to neglect the preconceptions of knowledge to be available to the unexpected elements of a clinical case, this article aims to highlight that the psychoanalytical clinic also includes expected commitments. In this way, the author points out that the clinical listening, at least when it is oriented by psychoanalytical psychopathology, always leads to the same unconscious issues that are lacking in any case. This is to explain the tension that works in each case of psychoanalytical therapy, between the portion of insurmountable unexpected it contains, and the portion of expected motives that are confirmed by each case – that is why even when we met it for the first time, a singular case does note appear like an absolute novelty arising in a desert of ignorance. The article aims therefore to strictly problematize the nodal point where the expected of the theory meet the unexpected of the clinical practice.
