The author shows in his article how the history of Roms and Sinti internment in France was concealed for a long time, as one can see at the proper sites, where during the war, almost the entire Sinti and Rom population of France was interned. This “non-existent” memorial site also echoes the ancient mistrust towards a population considered dangerous. This, as in 1912, before World War I, an official Anthropometric book was established, only to be abolished in 1969.
