Résumé 0

This study deals with the uses and real-life experiences of patients treated in France in medically assisted reproduction (MAR) centers in 2020 based on a sample of 1,503 people. The self-administered online questionnaire, made up of 178 questions, offers three main groups of results: the areas in which MAR gives satisfaction to a majority of patients; areas that need to be monitored; and the most striking results, including the invisibility of young and male patients, pessimism regarding the outcome of treatments, and the difficult relationship that women have to their bodies. The results underline the importance of a comprehensive care plan for MAR patients, men and women, young and less young, beyond the sole medical dimension of treatments, to best take into account psychological, social, and professional considerations, by means of a team combining professionals and patient associations, able to assist and support patients throughout their parental journey.
