Au coeur de la pandémie du COVID 19, osons repenser l’hospitalité du migrant en fonction des trois pierres d’assise du foyer africain : l’accueil, la famille et la solidarité. Renouant avec sa mémoire hospitalière, nous voyons comment l’Afrique, dans sa diversité socio-culturelle, peut aider à redéfinir l’hospitalité à partir d’aspects fondamentaux : la primauté des liens sociaux, l’esprit communautaire, le sens de la solidarité, du don et certains mécanismes traditionnels de maintien de l’unité et du « bien vivre » ensemble. C’est l’objet de cette contribution.

In the middle of the COVID 19 pandemic, this article dares to rethink the hospitality of the migrant according to the three foundations of the African home: welcome, family and solidarity. Reconnecting with its welcoming memory, it is possible to see how Africa, with its socio-cultural diversity, can help to redefine hospitality from different basic aspects: the primacy of social relationships, community spirit, sense of solidarity and gift, and some traditional mechanisms of upholding unity and “live a good life” together. This is the main focus of this contribution.
