Résumé 0

by Carlo Saletti (in collaboration with Constantino di Sante and Ana Maria Ori) Perpetrated after the armistice of September 8, 1943, the deportation of Jews from Italy left visible traces in this country. Was memory ensured concerning these internment sites, which served as starting point for deportation, in particular Fossoli camp, as well as Trieste and Bolzano? Did remembrance of Facism play here a role? What was the reaction to these commemorative Italian ceremonies in Germany, a country in which the past is often hidden behind the Nazi vocable? The three researchers give us here a short history on the main concentration sites where Italian Jewry agonized.
