L’hommage à Patrick Williams que nous proposons dans cet article est un hommage à une certaine approche anthropologique des Tsiganes-Roms qu’il a contribuée à construire avec constance et conscience : une approche originale qui fonde solidement toute proposition théorique sur l’expérience ethnographique de la rencontre réelle avec des personnes qui incarnent différentes façons de penser et de vivre notre monde.Dans cet article, nous montrerons comment les rencontres ethnographiques d’anthropologues comme Patrick Williams avec différents groupes de Tsiganes-Roms ont produit un processus de transformation de l’anthropologie des Tsiganes-Roms en une anthropologie romanès (c’est-à-dire « à la manière des Tsiganes-Roms »), participant activement au travail constant de décolonisation de la pensée anthropologique générale.

Our homage to Patrick Williams refers to his specific anthropology of Gypsies/Roma, to which Williams constantly and consciously contributed: an anthropology that anchors its theoretical approach in the experience of ethnographic encounter with persons who incorporate different ways of thinking and living in our world.We argue that the ethnographic encounters of anthropologists with various Gypsy/Roma groups transformed Gypsy/Roma anthropology into a romanès anthropology (that is, one that follows “the Gypsy/Roma way”). They thus contributed to the ongoing work of decolonising anthropological thought.

Unsere Hommage an Patrick Williams ist eine Hommage an eine bestimmte anthropologische Herangehensweise an die Roma-Zigeuner, die er mit Beständigkeit und Bewusstheit mitaufgebaut hat: eine originelle Vorgehensweise, die jeden theoretischen Vorschlag fest auf die ethnografische Erfahrung realer Begegnungen mit Menschen stützt, die andere Denkens- und Lebensweisen unserer Welt verkörpern.In diesem Artikel werden wir zeigen, wie die ethnographischen Begegnungen von Anthropologen wie Patrick Williams mit verschiedenen Gruppen von Roma-Zigeunern die Anthropologie der Roma-Zigeuner in eine romanische Anthropologie (d.h. ”in der Art der Roma-Zigeuner“) umgewandelt haben, indem sie sich aktiv an der permanenten Dekolonisierungsarbeit des allgemeinen anthropologischen Denkens beteiligen.

El homenaje a Patrick Williams que proponemos en este artículo es un homenaje a un cierto enfoque antropológico de los Gitanos-Roms que ha contribuido a construir con constancia y conciencia : un enfoque original que funda sólidamente toda proposición teórica en la experiencia etnográfica del encuentro real con personas que encarnan distintas maneras de pensar y de vivir nuestro mundo.En este artículo mostraremos como los encuentros etnográficos de antropólogos como Patrick Williams con diferentes grupos de Gitanos-Roms han producido un proceso de transformación de la antropología de Gitanos-Roms a una antropología romanès (es decir según los Gitanos-Roms) participando activamente al trabajo constante de descolonización del pensamiento antropológico general.
