Dans le champ du travail, le corps apparaît comme un médiateur fondamental pour comprendre la genèse et le développement de l’intelligence pratique. En effet, les habiletés et savoirs-faire techniques sont tributaires d’un engagement du corps au travail. Cette mobilisation subjective est au cœur du travail humain. Elle constitue l’essence du zèle, sans lequel les organisations ne sauraient assurer leur fonctionnement. Cependant, ce zèle signe une forme de participation apportée à la marche d’un système que certains critiquent pourtant. Il soulève ainsi le problème de la servitude volontaire des salariés. Cet article propose un examen de la place qu’il convient d’accorder au corps érotique dans les débats contemporains sur la servitude volontaire au travail. Il débouche sur une discussion théorique des rapports entre corps érotique, coercition et violence.

Voluntary Servitude through the Prism of Theories of the Body and the Psychodynamic Approach to Work. In the field of work, the body is a fundamental mediator for understanding the genesis and development of practical intelligence. Technical know-how and practical skills are directly dependent on how the body engages in work. This subjective dimension lies at the very heart of human labour. It is the very essence of the conscientiousness without which businesses and institutions would not be able to function. Yet it is also the sign of an adherence to the good functioning of a system of which some are critical. It raises the question of the voluntary servitude of employees. This article sets out to examine the role of the erotic dimension of the body in contemporary debates on voluntary servitude in the workplace. This leads to a theoretical discussion of the relation between the erotic body, coercion and violence.
