This research dissertation proposes a reflection on the relationship that users could maintain with public green spaces and on the implications of this relationship for the space construction. This analysis was carried out from the study of three public green spaces in Albi, this strudy given the way to the municipality vision (public green spaces manager) and also to the vision of the users publics. First, the study sought to analyse the explanatory registers of the relationship of individuals to spaces, especially with a view to asking a potential « garden capital ». Then, the ways of green spaces production were analyzed, being influenced by managers and users ; this especially to determine if a co-­construction process could going on.

Ce mémoire de recherche propose une réflexion quant au rapport que peuvent entretenir les usagers vis-­à-­vis des espaces verts publics et aux implications de ce rapport en matière de construction de l’espace. L’analyse a été réalisée à partir de l’étude de trois espaces verts publics albigeois, celle-­ci ayant fait place autant à la vision de la municipalité, gestionnaire des espaces verts publics, qu’à la vision des publics d’usagers. L’étude a d’abord cherché à analyser les registres explicatifs du rapport des individus aux espaces verts, notamment en vue de questionner un potentiel « capital jardin ». Puis, ce sont les modalités de production des espaces verts, influencés par les gestionnaires et les usagers, qui ont été analysées ; ceci notamment afin de déterminer si un processus de « co-­construction » des espaces verts était à l’œuvre.
