Cancer et sexualité : comment aborder, en philosophe, un tel rapport mais d’abord comment interroger ces deux termes qui, de notre époque, font symptômes ? C’est finalement d’amour et non seulement de sexualité (trop limitative ?) et de ses rapports à la maladie que nous avons choisi de parler, non pour tourner autour du pot comme nous y invitait l’intitulé (« Au-dessous de la ceinture ») mais tout au contraire pour prendre le risque d’y tomber, de tomber jusqu’au vertige dans ce qui est peut-être la plus fragile, la plus problématique mais aussi la plus efficace des thérapies.

Cancer and sexuality : how to approach, as a philosopher, such a relationship but at first how to analyze these two words which are symptoms of our time ? In the end we chose to speak about love and not only about sexuality (too restrictive ?), not to beat about the bush as we were invited to by the title (« Below the belt »), but quite the reverse taking the risk of going vertiginously straight to the point into what might be the most fragile, the most problematic but also the most efficient therapy.
