Cet article réinterroge, dans ses multiples dimensions, la notion de cosmopolitisme dans les villes du pourtour méditerranéen, en la resituant dans une longue durée de deux siècles ( xixe et xxe siècles). L’hypothèse de trois âges du cosmopolitisme méditerranéen est ainsi testée.
This paper reconsiders the notion of cosmopolitism in Mediterranean cities by studying it through a long period of two centuries (19th and 20th centuries). In this context, the three ages hypothesis of the Mediterranean cosmopolitism is tested.
