Conçue avant tout comme relevant d’une problématique de l’espace, la schizophrénie nous interroge sur le fait que le sujet ne parviendrait ni à habiter son corps ni le monde. Un contexte hospitalier, sous-tendu par un fond théorique se référant au mouvement de la psychothérapie institutionnelle, pourrait permettre de travailler cette question à partir de la notion d’ « espace polyphonique multi-référentiel ». En articulation avec cette idée, la mise en œuvre d’ateliers médiatisés par la voix chantée et la musique pourrait potentiellement aider les patients à fabriquer de l’espace dans les structures hospitalières, quand bien même la musique se propose généralement comme un art du temps.

Conceived above all as a problem of space, schizophrenia questions the fact that the subject manages neither to inhabit his body nor the world. A hospital context, underpinned by a theoretical background referring to the School of Institutional Psychotherapy, could allow us to work on this question from the notion of “multi-referential polyphonic space”. In line with this idea, the implementation of workshops using the sung voice and music could potentially help patients to create space in hospital structures, even though music is generally proposed as an art of time.
