Valérie Saugera, « Louchébem : la pérennité d’un argot à clef », La linguistique, ID : 10670/1.rxfnau
The butchers of Paris have practiced Louchébem for a century and a half, and yet their trade argot has left a relatively modest imprint in the linguistic archives. In fact, linguists have overlooked its consideration to such an extent that they often believe it to be extinct. This field research disputes its disappearance: it evaluates the butchers’ competence in Louchébem as well as reveals and analyzes the current vitality of the practice.
