Résumé 0

Instrumentos de la Esperanza is a legally established non-profit organization created on October 24, 2017. Our mission is to honor the victims of the Shoah by giving voice and life to their instruments (the foundation already owns a number of them). We also help educate new generations about the Shoah through tangible tools like instruments, music, and life stories. Our main objectives are to look for these musical instruments by either purchasing them, receiving them as donations, or taking them out on loan or consignment. We want to recreate anywhere from a klezmer band to a full orchestra from that time and to host concerts with well-known performers and students of all ages.We are creating a professional academic research team to further our understanding of the Shoah through the music, culture, and life stories of the Jewish musicians who played these instruments. Our main Ashkenazi Jewish School in Mexico City will begin a comprehensive research project with students of many ages to search for these instruments and their stories, helping them approach the subject of the Shoah through an entirely new lens.
