Nous étudions comment Lacan a isolé la voix comme objet  a (avant le regard), en 1959, à partir de son analyse des hallucinations verbales. Comme l’exemplifient des formes d’automatisme verbal, où la sensorialité ne fait pas partie de l’hallucination, neutres, anidéiques, les voix se définissent plus par le rapport du sujet au langage que par l’imaginaire sensoriel. En interprétant les hallucinations de Schreber à l’aide de la topologie du graphe, Lacan est amené à positionner la voix avec celle-ci. Ensuite, après avoir inscrit la formule du fantasme ($ a) sur le graphe, il promeut la voix comme objet  a, en référence aux voix, et insiste sur son essence plus temporelle que sonore. Nous avancerons que les particularités de la voix comme objet  a nécessitent une modification du tracé de la pulsion invoquante par rapport aux autres pulsions et que la référence à celle-ci ouvre un accès possible au « se faire entendre » pour ceux qui entendent des voix.

We examine how Lacan, in 1959, isolated the voice as the a object (before the look) from his analysis of verbal hallucinations. As the different forms of verbal automatism illustrate, where the sensorial is not part of the hallucination, the voices, neutral and anidiéiques, are to be defined more in the subject’s relation to language than in the sensorial imaginary. Lacan, when interpreting Schreber’s hallucinations with the graph topology, positions the voice thus. Following this, having inscribed the fantasy formula on the graph, he promotes the voice as the a object insisting on the temporal, rather than the sound essence. We put forward that the particularities of the voice as the a object call for a modification of the line of the invocatory drive in relation to other drives, and allow a possibility of “being heard” to those who hear voices.
