L’auteur, avec ce qu’il nomme le « grand dérangement contemporain » du XXIe siècle, nous invite à saisir les profondes mutations qui modifient les configurations sociales, notamment dans le domaine de la santé. C’est donc à travers une lecture systémique de ce nouveau déploiement historique que l’auteur aborde la notion de pluralisme thérapeutique où sont évoqués, dans le domaine de l’oncologie, les enjeux culturels des itinéraires thérapeutiques des patients au cours desquels ils sollicitent, par la spécificité des thérapies complémentaires, un renouvellement de la vision de soi.

The author, with what he called the « great contemporary upheaval » of the XXIth century, invites us to recognize the profound changes affecting social configurations, including in the field of health. It is therefore through a systemic reading of this new historical deployment that the author tackle the notion of therapeutic pluralism where are referred to, in the field of Oncology, the cultural issues of the patients therapeutic routes in which they seek a new vision of themselves through the specificity of other complementary therapies.
