Abstract En Fr

Albert Schweitzer is not well known as an educationalist. However, education played an important role not only in his family life but also in his humanitarian projects in Europe and then in Africa. Schweitzer was a teacher in his capacity as a free lecturer, as director of the Protestant Seminary in Strasbourg and also as a local pastor. Furthermore, he developed his reflections on education principally through the sermons he delivered in Strasbourg.
