Georges Bohas, « De la mesure en arabe : une description unifiée », Bulletin d’études orientales, ID : 10.4000/beo.184
What is proposed in this article is an organization of meter in Arabic in the following three fields: classical Arabic poetry, modern Arabic poetry and the Koran. Classical poetry is ruled by a simple metric system and the list proposed in Bohas & Paoli (1997) is enough to account for the existing parallelisms. As for modern Arabic poetry, some adjustments of the classical model are necessary (syneresis, dieresis and rejet). Finally, the Koran contains a good many of surahs where the perception of parallelisms is immediate. We try to describe these parallelisms in the perspective of a more general study on the poéticité of the Koran.
