No âmbito do Projeto PASEV Patrimonialization of Évora’s Soundscape (1540-1910) ALT20-03-0145-FEDER-028584 / LISBOA-01-0145-FEDER-028584 desafiamos fontes e materialidade oitocentista eborense para caracterizar as novidades sonoras do espaço público aberto pela Revolução Liberal de 1820, em Portugal. Assim, nesta incursão pela janela da cidade de Évora, proponho-nos fazer o recorte local de sonoridades trazidas pela sociabilidade do Passeio Público – Jardim Público e, em contexto nacional de comemorações de Camões, momento seminal de 10 de Junho de 1880. Usando cruzamentos de fontes - á imprensa – local, regional, nacional – indagando arquivos públicos, com especial destaque para o Arquivo Fotográfico da Câmara de Évora, e visitando a toponímia, escutando as vozes do passado presente no inesgotável Boletim da Cidade de Évora. E a investigação conduziu-nos à não confirmação de uma das hipóteses fortes da investigação, o 10 de Junho. Em contrapartida o 1º de Dezembro assumiu-se como o tempo local celebrativo, englobante da população no território, gerando diversas configurações de paisagens sonoras em espaço público liberal, na cidade de Évora. O recurso ao conceito operatório de biopolítica permitiu-nos enquadrar, e analisar, a vertente empírica da investigação, evidenciando a necessidade de relançar o equilíbrio de forças entre o global e o local. Deste modo, a paisagem sonora foi o terreno fértil das movimentações desta investigação.

Within the scope of the Project PASEV Patrimonialization of Évora's Soundscape (1540-1910) ALT20-03-0145-FEDER-028584 • LISBOA-01-0145-FEDER-028584 we challenged sources and material from the 19th century to characterize the sound innovations of public space opened by the Liberal Revolution of 1820, in Portugal. Thus, in this incursion through the window of the city of Évora, we propose to make the local clipping of sounds brought by the sociability of the Public Garden and, in the national context of commemorations of Camões, at the seminal moment of June 10, 1880. Using crossed historical sources - press - local, regional, national - inquiring about public archives, with special emphasis on the Photographic Archive of the Évora Town Hall, and visiting the name of the streets, listening to the voices of the past present in the inexhaustible Bulletin of the City of Évora. And the investigation led us to not confirm one of the strong hypotheses of the investigation, the 10th of June. In contrast, the 1st of December was assumed as the celebratory local time, encompassing the population in the territory, generating different configurations of soundscapes in a liberal public space, in the city of Évora. The use of the operative concept of biopolitics allowed us to frame, and analyze, the empirical aspect of research, highlighting the need to relaunch the balance of forces between the global and the local. In this way, the soundscape was the fertile ground for the movements of this investigation.
