Having discussed what I consider to constitute evidence of ontological insecurity, and the securitisation of ontology (through overcoding), the purpose of this chapter is to provide evidence to this effect. In the first section I introduce the corpus data and pinpoint areas for closer examination, as well as noting to what extent the discourse has changed.
