L’ouvrage dirigé par Rachida Chih, David Jordan et Stefan Reichmuth est le second volume d’une série intitulée The Presence of the Prophet in Early Modern and Contemporary Islam. Les seize contributions, treize en anglais, deux en français et une en arabe (avec un résumé en anglais), sont le fruit d’une coopération franco-germanique financée par la Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschatf (DFG) et l’Agence Nationale de la Recherche (ANR).
