This study aims to demonstrate the very influence of Pierre Leroux’s philosophic theory of “universal manducation” on Saint-Pol-Roux’s poetry and meditation, through a seemingly naïve poem, La Poire, published in Les Féeries intérieures (1907), the third part of Les Reposoirs de la procession, and which hides an “idéorealist” purpose.
