Résumé 0

This dataset has been collected thanks to the long-term partnership with Department of Agricultural Land Management (DALaM), Lao PDR, which granted the permission for field access, and to the financial, scientific, technical, and/or logistical support of the Multiscale TROPIcal CatchmentS (SNO M-TROPICS; https://mtropics.obs-mip.fr/) critical zone observatory (previously MSEC). This .csv dataset includes Escherichia coli concentrations (MPN 100 mL-1) with upper and lower limits of the confidence interval, in both the raw and the filtered water (3 µm), and stanol concentrations (coprostanol, epicoprostanol, cholestanol, 24-ethylcoprostanol, 24-ethylepicoprostanol, campestanol, and sitostanol; in µg/g and in %) measured in dry suspended sediment at the outlet of the ditch draining sewage and surface runoff out of the Laksip village, Northern Lao PDR (station BLS; LAT: 19.848421; LONG: 102.168295), from July to August 2016. The dataset also includes water level (m), discharge (L s-1), and total suspended sediment concentration (g L-1). The authors acknowledge the financial support of the Institut de Recherche pour le Développement (IRD), including for the postdoctoral grant 2016-2017 of Laurie Boithias (Accueil de post-doctorants / Campagne 2015), and of the French National Research Agency (TecItEasy project ANR-13-AGRO-0007).
