Für Erwachsene und demnach auch für Eltern reduziert sich allzu oft die Filmkunst für junges Publikum auf Walt Disney Zeichentrickfilme. Dabei vergisstman nicht nur, dass Filmkunst eine weltoffene Kunst ist und dass bestimmte Personen tagtäglich tätig sind, um dies zu versichern, sondern auch, dass es viele Filme gibt, die das Kind mit seiner Intelligenz, seiner Sensibilität und seiner Würde respektieren. Zu einer Zeit wo die Filmkunst Gefahr läuft immer mehr ein einfaches Handelsobjekt zu werden, ist es vielleicht dringend, sich über den Sinn zu fragen, den man den Bildern, die für Kinder gedacht sind, verleihen will und besonders durch die Frage der "Filmkunst für Kinder".

The cinema as an art form, as a window on the world, despite the endeavours of certain to affirm this, tends to be forgotten, as are the numerous films which respect the intelligence, the sensitivity and the dignity of the child. Muy frecuentemente para los adultos, empezando por los padres, el cine infantil se reduce a los dibujos animados de Walt Disney. Se olvida no solamente que el cine es un arte abierto al mundo, y que algunos trabajan todos los dias para afirmarlo, sino también que existen numerosas peliculas que respetan al niño en su inteligencia, su sensibilidad y su dignidad. En la hora en que el cine corre el riesgo, cada vez mayor, de ser transformado en un simple objeto mercantil, es tal vez urgente interrogarse sobre el sentido a dará las imagines que mostramos a los niños, sobre todo a través del tema de "un cine para los niños".
