The Latin version of Llibre dels fets of James I, written by the Dominican friar Pere Marsili at the beginning of the fourteenth century, shows some linguistic features of the influence of Catalan, language of the original text and of the author. These features confirm that it is a translation from Catalan into Latin. They include also the creation of some new latin terms, formed from the influence of Catalan
