Résumé
The aim of this study is to discuss the lower, Middle and Upper Palaeolithic finds in the neighbourhood of Sagalassos (Pisidia, SW Turkey). The model proposed tries to explain the fact that sites dating to these periods are almost non-existent in the area. At the same time, the proposed model attempts to predict where more material may be found. The blank on the distribution maps of the find spots for the Lower, Middle and Upper Palaeolithic in this area is only an apparent blank and does not correspond to reality. The same is true for the Taurus region in general. We propose a three-stage selective strategy that should result in a more reliable distribution map for the Palaeolithic in this region.
