At the site of the Roman city of Cillium, near Kasserine in central Tunisia, the ruins of a temple stand near the highest point of the ancient town, midway between the third-century arch and the theatre. The temple was of characteristic Roman design ; its small size makes it virtually certain that the pronaos was tetrastyle. There are slight indications of a colonnaded enclosure in front. Plan and situation, together with the presence of a statue base inscribed with the word GENIO, favour the identification of the temple as the Capitolium of the municipium (later colonia) of Cillium, but it is not possible to date its construction.

Vers le sommet du site romain de Cillium, près de Kasserine en Tunisie centrale, s'élèvent les ruines d'un temple situé à mi-chemin entre l'arc de triomphe et le théâtre. Ce temple est du type romain classique à pronaos tétrastyle (ce qui est conforme à ses petites dimensions). Devant le temple il y a des vestiges d'une cour entourée de colonnades. Le plan, la situation du temple, la présence d'un socle de statue portant l'inscription GENIO..., nous amènent à identifier ce monument comme étant le Capitole du municipium (devenu plus tard la colonia) de Cillium, mais on ne saurait préciser la date de sa construction.
