The tumulus of Bonethève in Pressignac (Charente). A rider’s grave of Early Iron Age ? The tumulus of Le Bonethève in Pressignac, Charente, was excavated in 1881. It contained a burial, typical of the end of the Early Iron Age in the Limousin, and was perhaps that of a rider. A vase with a “graphité” design was all that was left from the grave objects.

Le tumulus du Bonethève à Pressignac, Charente, fut fouillé en 1881. Il s’est révélé contenir une sépulture à incinération typique de la fin du 1er âge du Fer limousin, peut-être celle d’un cavalier. Le seul élément de mobilier conservé est un vase à décor « graphité ».
