The neck of an amphora, Pompei VII shape, has been thrown in a well, at Saintes, at the end of the 1st century or at the begining of the 2nd century. Nine lines of the painted inscription are very well ligible. For the first time in that part of France, appears a preserved young tuna fish, four years old, prickle, and of the best quality.

Un col d'amphore Pompéi VII jeté dans le comblement d'un puits à Saintes, à la fin du Ier siècle ou au début du IIe siècle, a remarquablement conservé son inscription peinte. Elle se développe sur 9 lignes et indique, pour la première fois dans cette région, une conserve de jeune thon piquant, vieille de quatre ans et d'excellente qualité.
