The Larrey site large structure -The palatial question The huge Antiquity construction, brought to light in 1988 in the North West area of the Toulouse city, is planned according to a unique architectural scheme whose study does not allow to give it a specific attribution. However, its 5th century dating implies a possible identification to the Wisigothic King's palace. The urban inserting of this fortified structure onto the urban surrounding wall from the 1st century and probably also onto the 3rd century Garonne Wall tends to show that the palatial assumption is highly probable.

Le vaste édifice de l'Antiquité mis au jour en 1988 dans le secteur nord-ouest de la ville de Toulouse est conçu selon un programme architectural singulier dont la lecture ne permet de lui attribuer une affectation particulière. Sa datation dans le Ve siècle implique cependant l'éventualité d'une identification au palais des rois wisigoths. L'insertion urbaine de cet ensemble fortifié, par un adossement direct sur l'enceinte urbaine du Ier siècle et sans doute sur le rempart de Garonne du IIIe siècle, fournit un argument à l'option palatiale.
