II. 1. Russell Jones (SOAS, London) memberi saran-saran untuk me- nelaah kembali kumpulan-kumpulan manuskrip/naskah Melayu yang tersimpan di perpustakaan-perpustakaan Eropah, dengan memperhitung- kan pula ciri-ciri luarnya, antara lain filigran kertas-kertasnya yang dapat merupakan kriterium penting untuk menentukan tahunnya.

II. 1. Russell Jones (SOAS, London) proposes that the extant collections of Malay MSS be examined anew and that their external features be taken into account, especially the watermarks of the paper which can be of great help indetermining the date that they were produced.
