D. Nardin menceritakan dengan singkat riwayat hidup seorang bangsawan Perancis : Paul de la Gironière (meninggal sekitar tahun 1860) yang sebagai pedagang, dokter, perwira dan usahawan pertanian senang bertualang, pernah menulis "Kenang-kenangan"nya yang sangat menarik tentang kedua puluh tahun masa dia hidup di Filipina pada bagian pertama abad ke XIX.

D. Nardin sketches briefly the biography of a "Briton Gentleman" : Paul de la Gironière (deceased about 1960) who, a merchant, medical doctor, army officer and gentleman farmer, lived an adventurous life and left us some interesting "Souvenirs?* about the twenty years he spent in the Philippines in the first half of the XlXth century.

D. Nardin retrace "gentilhomme breton" : Paul de la Gironière (mort vers 1860) qui, commerçant, médecin, officier et exploitant agricole épris d'aventures, nous a laissé d'intéressants Souvenirs des vingt années qu'il passa aux Philippines dans la première moitié du XlXème siècle.
