Résumé En

Interlayer components of a hydrated crystallised silica. Potassium hydrogenodisilicate, KHSi2O5, transforms in the presence of HCl 2N into H2Si2O5 a crystallized silicic acid. The silica is built up by layers and is giving salts in basic media. In general cases, salts are non stoechiom etric, but exhibit the same X-ray pattern for a large variation of composition. K, NH4 and Li salts are anhydrous. Na-salts are hydrated ; H2O is fixed between the layers and spread them out. All these salts form again crystallized H2Si2O5 by an acid treatment.
