Fishing in the Nile during prehistory. Eish remains from prehistoric sites along the Egyptian Nile offer severed possibilities of interpretation. They allow a reconstruction of the aquatic environment and of the way man exploited the ancient fish fauna. Place and season of capture can be established, as well as methods of preparation and conservation of fish. The evolution of fish catching methods can also be reconstructed.

Les restes de poissons provenant de sites préhistoriques le long du Nil égyptien offrent plusieurs possibilités d’interprétation. A part la reconstitution du milieu aquatique, l’étude des restes de poissons permet d'établir de quelle manière les hommes ont exploité les eaux. L’endroit et la saison de pêche peuvent être reconstitués ainsi que les méthodes de préparation et de conservation du poisson. L’évolution des techniques de pêche peut également être suivie.
